- Urad dal – 1 cup
- Raw Rice – 1 cup
- Roasted gram/ Pottu kadala – 1 cup
- Dry Chily/ Kollamulaga – 50 gm
- Curry leaves/ Karuvepila – ½ cup
- Hing/ Kayam powder – 1 tsp
- Black Pepper/ Kurumolaga – 1 tsp
- Roast all the above said ingredients except hing till it turns golden brown in color. Then add hing & sauté for 1 min. Keep aside to cool.
- Grind the mixture to a fine powder in the mixer. Remove the powder to an Air tight container.
Dry chutney powder goes well with Idly & Dosa, use it each time by mixing oil.
