Coconut chammanthi is a very essential item for all the South Indian people. Most of the dishes in Kerala, coconut is an essential base. Even idly and dosa are incomplete without this chammanthi. Fresh grated coconut grinded with flavors of Kerala makes this dish a very traditional & unique.
- Fresh Grated Coconut: 1 ½ cup
- Green Chilies – 5 nos (according to spice)
- Ginger – 1inch
- Tamarind – ½ tsp
- Shallots/ Small onions/ cheruulli – 6nos
- Curry leaves – 6nos
- Salt as per taste
- Grind all the ingredients mentioned together. Don’t add water. Grind it to a paste.
