Diwali also common in name of Deepavali is the biggest festival celebrated among Indians. The joy of celebration is expressed by lighting small clay diyas and firecrackers. In each and every state Diwali is celebrated in their own tradition and style. The most beautifully celebrated part according to me is North India. Before a day to Deepavali, electrical lightings are fitted on the doors, windows and balcony of each and every house and different varieties of Kandhils are hanged which when lighted gives a beautiful scene to our eyes. Lots of sweets and foods are prepared during these days and are exchanged between families as part of happiness and wellbeing.  Laxmi pujan is done and crackers are burst in the belief to ride off bad evils out of the house. Diyas when lighted during night time on this particular day represents to welcome goddess Laxmi to our house. On these special days, in our family my mom prepares variety of sweets and snacks and distributes them among relatives and family friends.
