How to make dry vegetable manchurian

Vegetable Manchurian Dry is an Indo – Chinese starter made of vegetable balls tossed in spicy,tangy and sweet soya – chili sauces. Vegetable Manchurian Dry is a simple snack recipe which includes healthy vegetables such as cabbage, carrot, onion, spring onions etc…We can add any vegetables of our choice. If your husband or your children doesnt love any vegetables and you need to make them eat then add it to this veggie balls and serve them in this new style. Your purpose will be solved and your family will love to have it due to its taste and texture..Usually Manchurian Balls – dry are served with Fried rice, Chinese Noodles or as a side dish.


For Manchurian Balls:

  • Minced Cabbage – 1/2cup
  • Grated Carrot – 1/2cup
  • Green chilies – 2nos(finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 1inch(finely chopped)
  • Onion – 1no (finely chopped)
  • Spring Onion – 1/2cup (chopped)
  • All-purpose Flour – 2tbsp
  • Corn flour – 2tbsp
  • Soya sauce – 1/4tsp
  • Salt as per taste.
  • Oil for shallow frying/ Deep frying

For Manchurian sauce:

  • Green chilies – 1tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 1tbsp (finely chopped)
  • Garlic – 1/2tbsp(finely chopped)
  • Soya sauce – 1/2tbsp
  • Chili Sauce – 1/2tbsp
  • Tomato Ketchup – 1tbsp
  • Corn Flour – 1/2tbsp
  • Regular Vinegar – 1/2tsp
  • Oil – 1tbsp
  • Salt as per taste.
  • Spring Onion/ Corriander Leaves – 1tbsp (chopped for garnishing)


For Manchurian Balls:

  • Take all the chopped vegetables mentioned under (for manchurian balls) in a bowl.
  • Now add rest of the ingredients mentioned under (for manchurian balls) except oil.
  • Mix Vegetables with rest of the ingredients very nicely to form a smooth dough.
  • Now take a small portion of the dough to make a lemon size ball. Make similar balls with rest of the dough.
  • Heat oil in a kadai or pan for deep frying.
  • Drop each lemon sized manchurian balls into hot oil and fry them till all sides of ball turns goden brown in color.
  • Remove the manchurian balls to a plate wrapped with paper towel.

For Manchurian sauce:

  • Heat Oil in a kadai or pan.
  • Add chopped green chilies, ginger and garlic. Temper it in low flame for 2mins.
  • Now add soya sauce, chili sauce, salt and tomato ketchup and stir in low flame for 1min.
  • In the meantime, add corn flour to 1/2cup of water to make a smooth paste.
  • Now add corn flour paste to stirred manchurian sauce. Nicely mix all the ingredients.
  • Once the Manchurian sauce starts to thicken, switch off the flame.
  • Add fried manchurian balls into manchurian sauce and stir them nicely so that the sauce mixes with manchurian balls evenly.
  • Now add vineger and stir manchurian balls nicely. Keep it aside for 5 to 10mins for settling.
  • Garnish Manchurian balls with chopped Spring onion or else corriander leaves befor serving.

Veg Manchurian Dry

  • Serve Hot Vegetable Manchurian Balls as starter or evening snack.
