For making puttu we have to Wash and soak Raw Rice rice for around 2-3 hours. Wash again and drain the water completely using colander. Spread the soaked raw rice on a cloth for 45 minutes. Then get it ground in the flour mill when it is slightly wet. Then fry the flour on medium heat until you get a puttu like aroma of roasted flour.

Spread it to cool and then store this puttu podi /puttu flour in an airtight container.
