Methi Paratha

A very tasty dish made of Methi leaves/ Fenugreek leaves. Health wise if we see methi leaves are very good but usually children’s & elders don’t eat Methi dishes due to its bitter taste but present this dish in front of these non – eaters!!!!!! They will simply eat this dish due to its nice aroma & taste.

  • Methi/ Fenugreek/ Ulava leaves – 1cup (chopped)
  • Wheat Flour/ Atta – 2cups
  • Corn Flour – ½ cup
  • Ginger – Garlic paste – 1tbsp
  • Chili powder – 1tsp
  • Garam Masala powder – 1tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin/ Jeera Seeds – 1tsp
  • Coriander/ Malli/ Dhaniya leaves – 2tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil – 2tsp

  • In a vessel, Add all the above mentioned ingredients except oil & knead the dough with limited water.
  • Pour oil to the dough & knead till it becomes smooth. Close the vessel with a lid & set aside for ½ an hour.
  • Make lemon size balls from the dough. Roll out each ball into a 6 inch paratha.
  • Heat a pan. Place the paratha & grease it with 1/2tsp of butter. When the sides turn light brown, turn it to other side & grease it with 1/2tsp of butter.
